Pursuit of Happieness……

with one comment

Ever since I got my licence skating to and from spots has been a minimum.  With having a car the possibilities of spots is not very limited and you are also able to save your energy.  But it has its pros and cons.  Good memories were had skating to spots or even rec blading in middle school with all your friends.  Every now and again, especially when on a blade trip, I try to confince everyone to have a rec blade jam and just roll around in the city we are in or even on a warm summer night in SLC.  The last time I did this was with Kaycee when we decided we needed to bomb 500S/400S one night.  It may seems teenagish but that is what keeps you young.  I recently found this short edit that is just that; rolling around the city with your buds.  It made me smile……and is down really well.

Who’s down for a rec blade sess?

  1. that was really cool. brings back some great memories. i used to have a routine while living in st. george when i was 18 that involved skating spots all night, then hanging out at my friend’s house until about 7am, then skating 7 miles to my parent’s house to sleep for the day, then waking up around 3pm and skating 7 miles back to my friends house to hang out and go through the same routine again. did this for a few months. it was so fun just cruising through the streets and hitting back royales and soles on the spots along the way. having to replace wheels every couple weeks was terrible, but totally worth it. thanks for the flash back. 🙂
