So ….my dream job………..

Skating got me into filming.  It started with us capturing ever new grind we learned on tape and later evolved into contributing footage to skate videos trying to capture a bit of fame. In between all that were many short films such as “Death by the Fridge” part 1, 2, and 3, claymation videos such as “Gold and a Pager“, and dance videos such as Louie dancing to “Beat it” and the first internet hit Jana was in called “Jana’s New Kicks” which proceeded her and Emily’s oscar worthy film “Skools Out“.  From the beginning I had always dreamed about how amazing it would be to be a cinematographer for National Geographic.  Yeah if I got to choose 3 dream jobs that would be one of them.  Well, lately i have started shooting a lot of photos of which was actually the initial reason i started this blog.  Well as of late i have been give a couple pretty cool opportunities to shoot some blading material for two highly frequented websites.  The first came from when i submitted a photo  of Kaycee to Be-mag‘s Reader’s Pics section.  Since I frequently got emails from Stefan who is the head editor at Be-mag during the long shooting of my profile in Be-mag print, he knew me and i sort of had my foot in the door.  After seeing a couple pics of Kaycee he asked if i would be interested in shooting a Set up Sessions profile/interview of Kaycee for Be-mag’s website (Kaycee likes to edit his owe pics so thats why there are none of him here yet). Not only is this huge for my photos but also for getting Kaycee a ton of exposure in the blade scene.  Next, Tad (Utah rollerblading wonder child) found out today that word got out about how amazing he is and that SHOCK wanted to run a little interview on him.

SHOCK is a blog that has gotten pretty big due to the guy that does it is friends with most of the big name bladers.  So Tad John asked me to help and we had a pretty successful night due to the fact that it was too cold for my cordless flash wizard to work.  But after two spots shooting some long exposures i think we came out pretty good….although the batteries died in my camera before i was able to even try to get some clips for a little edit i am in the process of trying to do in one week, in the winter, working 11 hours days, in utah……..hmmmm…….
